Dr. Vikram Bakhru
Board Member

Dr. Bakhru believes education has the power to change lives. In 2002 he established FIMRC and his extensive experience in the developing world guides Nanubhai’s programming. He serves as CMO for A&K Global Health.

Mohit Bhansali
Board Member

Years of Involvement: 2011 to present
Education: New York University, B.A.

Mohit lends his mastery of social media and fundraising to advance our mission. Outside of Nanubhai, he’s part of the rock quartet Deadbeat Darling and is the COO at Equity Stock Transfer LLC.

Amanda Jaber
Board Member

Amanda provides pro bono legal assistance and advice to Nanubhai. Amanda believes that improving educational outcomes is key to international development and improving human rights globally.

Anita Patel
Board Member

her project management and leadership experience to projects such as Grassroots Development, Public Relations, and Gala planning. She is a Registered Associate at Morgan Stanley.

Emily Richardson
Board Member

Columbia Teacher’s College, M.A.

Emily lends her ground experience and intern recruiting skills to Nanubhai’s programming. She is currently pursing her doctorate in International Educational Development at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Aakash Shah
Board Member

Aakash leverages his experiences in fundraising and event planning to increase Nanubhai’s awareness and reach. He strongly believes that education empowers students and lays the foundation for equal opportunity. He currently works on strategic and operational initiatives for the Wall Street Journal.

Hamel Shah

Hamel loves working with Nanubhai because it gives passionate individuals an opportunity to have an impact. She contributes a range of skills to the board, including strategy development, Annual Gala planning/event management.

Mayuri Shah
Board Member

Mayuri couples the ground-zero knowledge gained during her externship with the Clinton Global Foundation with her passionate advocacy for and guidance of Nanubhai’s local programming. She is a Consultant for Bain & Company.

Dr. Hemant Vankawalla
Board Member

Dr. Vankawalla believes that every boy and girl in India deserves a quality education. He is a founding physician and CMIO with Emerus Hospital Partners and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Texas Tech University Hospital.

Kate Jenkins

Kate’s skill set includes multicultural team management, strategic planning, and program development. While her desire to improve education in underserved communities brought her to India, it is the amazing people she works with that keeps her coming back.

Sarah Birgé
Executive Director

As a teacher in rural Vermont, Sarah knows a quality education is a tool for fighting economic inequality. After 18 months as Co-Director in India, she remains committed to people and communities there. Sarah brings coalition building and sustainable NGO development skills to Nanubhai.
