Our Internships

Nanubhai has a long history of internships, with many people returning in subsequent years. Generally, our intern hiring process begins in January and then interns go to India from June to August to coincide with our scholarship disbursement process. However, we are open to interns at other points in the year. To apply, please send a C.V., cover letter, and contact information for three references to

Our Culture

We welcome initiative, new ideas, and creative solutions. You might find yourself spending two hours on a bus and then another hour in a rickshaw to interview a Scholar’s family in a remote part of India and then the next day and tracking down someone to fix the office generator. No task is too large or too small when it helps the organization succeed. Being part of the Nanubhai team is not about “What do I do?” It is about “How do I make it happen?”

Our goal is to provide all interns with opportunities to learn and grow. In return, we ask team members to participate in, challenge, and advance our goals through their hard work and unfailing dedication to our mission.

Our Environment

The Nanubhai Education Foundation is passionately committed to transforming public education in rural India. Since 2004, we have worked in largely tribal regions in southern Gujarat. In the Bardoli taluka, our base of operations, approximately 25% of the population lives below the poverty line, and 34.2% of the population is illiterate.
