Kandarp believes that breaking the cycle of poverty found in many rural Indian communities starts with better access to education. He uses his entrepreneurial skills to spearhead initiatives for Nanubhai, including fundraising, programming and organizational management. He is currently a consultant at McKinsey & Co.

Sherry has spent the majority of her career working in the public and nonprofit sectors, with over 18 years of experience working for various nonprofits in the United States and overseas.
Sherry has worked with the American Red Cross and the ICRC providing tracing services to refugees during the Crisis in Kosovo and worked in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Germany, and Bosnia providing emergency services to deployed military personnel. She has also served as a Vice President for Development, State Executive Director, Director of External Relations and a Grant Coordinator.
Sherry is a graduate of the SIT Graduate Institute with a MS in Organizational Management and UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Sociology. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Security Studies.

Dr. Bakhru believes education has the power to change lives. In 2002 he established FIMRC and his extensive experience in the developing world guides Nanubhai’s programming. He serves as CMO for A&K Global Health.

Hamel loves working with Nanubhai because it gives passionate individuals an opportunity to have an impact. She contributes a range of skills to the board, including strategy development, Annual Gala planning/event management.

Dr. Vankawalla believes that every boy and girl in India deserves a quality education. He is a founding physician and CMIO with Emerus Hospital Partners and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Texas Tech University Hospital.
